A seasoned educator with 25 years of experience- Smt Veena R Tuppad brings a wealth of knowledge to the role of principal. Having earned a Master of Science i.e. M.Sc. (Mathematics ) from Karnataka University and a Bachelor of Education i.e. B.Ed. from IGNOU(Indira Gandhi National Open University), she embarked on a journey dedicated to shaping minds.
At the core of Smt Veena R Tuppad ‘s leadership is profound educational Philosophy “I believe that education is not just about imparting knowledge but nurturing holistic development of each student”. This philosophy guides decisions made at Rajiv Gandhi English Medium High School. Under her leadership, Rajiv Gandhi English Medium High School, Dharwad has witnessed remarkable achievements from elevation in academic performance to spearheading innovative programs. She has cultivated an environment where students thrive and succeed. But beyond the accolades, Smt Veena R Tuppad adds a personal touch to leadership. Smt Veena R Tuppad created a culture that encourages students’ achievement and growth. She has set up the school from the grassroots, inducting staff and scripting policies. She has created teacher training modules and has been training teaching and non-teaching staff. She has developed leadership skills in staff. She is helping teachers and students reach their fullest potential through continuous learning. She has been bestowed with the Best Teacher award, best organising Teacher, and a nation builder award.
Merit, impartiality and adherence to the laid down norms have been the hallmarks of her career. She has always implemented innovative ideas that have paid rich dividends in the final exams and she has trained nearly 10,000 students in the 25 years of her career and most of them are in the highest position all around India and abroad. Her school leaves no stone unturned in encouraging children to take up sports and other extra-curricular activities.
