Revolutionizing Physiotherapy Education: The Innovative Leadership of Dr. Priyadarshini Mishra

Dr. Priyadarshini Mishra (P.T), an esteemed Associate Professor at ABSMARI: Abhinav Bindra Sports Medicine and Research Institute, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, is spearheading a revolution in physiotherapy education through innovative teaching methods.
 
With 15 years of expertise in academia, research, and clinical practice, she is a Ph.D. candidate in Physiotherapy from Tantia University, Rajasthan. She holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (Orthopaedic) from SRM University, Chennai, and completed her undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy from NIMS, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. She has also completed the CBEP program at Keele University, United Kingdom.
 
Her contributions to the field are extensive, including the authorship of six books and numerous conference and journal publications. Notably, she served as the “IQAC COORDINATOR” for the “NAAC” affiliation in her past organization, which received a B++ grade under her leadership. Additionally, she has taught soft skills and is a registered teacher at Utkal University.
 
Her  expertise has garnered attention from various media outlets, with interviews featured on “Zee Kalinga TV” and “Zed Media.” She has also spoken at prestigious events such as the “6th World Congress Physiotherapy, Physical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, Dubai.”
 
Her accolades include the “Best Teaching Award” from the Indian Siksha Awards, the “Education Award” from the India Prime Awards, and the “India Inspirational Women Awards” in education, among others. She was also honored with the “Einstein of Physio” in Sports connect 2021” title and the “Research Excellence Award 2020” from the Institution of Scholars.
