Dr. SWAPNIL L.LAHUDKAR
Dr. Swapnil. L. Lahudkar obtained his PhD degree in
2012 from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, College of
Engineering. He is currently working as a Professor
in the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication at JSPM’s Imperial College of Engineering, Pune.
He is the author of more than 65 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is also a reviewer of peer-reviewed journals. His area of interest includes Communication, Antenna design and analysis, and Signal
Processing.
He describes his journey as an educator as a nonchalant beginning about 24 years ago that has transcended many strata of emotional and experiential levels.
He claims that the innocence and inquisitiveness of youngsters constantly entices him. He goes on to
say that he enjoys being with kids and has always endeavoured to educate them by applying unique
methods to broaden their horizons of knowledge.
While talking about the onset of his career as an educator, he states that he found himself transitioning from orientation towards defence services to an academician in unexpected circumstances. He
shares that the inner change was a life-changing event and his role as an educator has transformed
him in manifold forms. He is happy and elated to have enlightened young minds in the pursuit of
their dreams and aspires to educate students so that they can be architects of tomorrow’s future.
Leadership within education is an avenue that he is pursuing as he thoroughly enjoys crafting and
facilitating learning opportunities, whether that be with a class of students or a room of educators.
This spark first ignited when he took on the role of serving as Dean of Academics at JSPM’s JSPM’s
Imperial College of Engineering, Pune. Inspiring educators to integrate technology into their classrooms, utilizing best practices, and facilitating opportunities for collaboration fuelled his desire to
continue serving in a leadership role.
Dr. Lahudkar participates actively in community affairs. He has taken part in many events including
vaccination campaigns, village clean-ups, anti-superstition campaigns, the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”
campaign, cleanliness drives, first aid training, road safety initiatives, Fit India, environmental
protection, etc
