Dr. A. Haja Abdul Khader: An Exemplary Academic Leader Driving Innovation in Computer Science Dr. A. Haja Abdul Khader, recipient of the Best Academic Leadership Award at the Global Apex Awards 2025, stands as a distinguished f igure in the realm of computer science education. Serving as an Assistant Professor at Khadir Mohideen College in Adirampattinam, Tamil Nadu, he has made a lasting impact through his dedication to teaching, research, and community service. With academic roots deeply connected to his hometown, he pursued his entire higher education at Khadir Mohideen College, completing his B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Computer Science. This lifelong association with the institution underscores his commitment to regional academic growth. He also expanded his academic qualifications with a Diploma in Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Operations Research from Pondicherry University, Puducherry. His teaching career began in 2001 at Khadir Mohideen Boys Higher Secondary School, where he served as a Computer Science teacher. In 2003, he transitioned into higher education by joining the faculty of Khadir Mohideen College as an Assistant Professor, a position he continues to hold with distinction. With over 24 years of teaching and five years of active research experience, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of hundreds of students. Over the years, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional growth by qualifying multiple prestigious national-level competitive examinations. These include the Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (TN-SET) in Computer Science (2012, 2016), the University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) in Computer Science (2012, 2015, 2016), and the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in 2008. These achievements highlight his deep subject expertise and academic rigor. His research interests encompass a broad range of contemporary and emerging domains such as Fog Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, Network Security, Wireless Sensor Networks, Data Science, Big Data, and Data Mining. As a research guide, he has successfully mentored 20 M.Phil. scholars, fostering a research-oriented culture among his students. His academic contributions include more than 10 papers published in reputable peer-reviewed journals and over 20 research articles presented at national and international conferences. In recognition of his subject knowledge and leadership, he has frequently been invited to serve as a resource person or chief guest in more than 25 colleges across Tamil Nadu. These engagements have allowed him to share his insights, inspire budding researchers, and strengthen academic networks throughout the state. His exceptional service and contributions have not gone unnoticed. He has been honored with several accolades, including the Mohallah Achievers’ Award 2020 by Shamsul Islam Sangam in Adirai, the Young Researcher Award 2024 by InSc International Publishers, Bengaluru, and the Academic Star Award 2025 by Aram Seiyavirumbu Trust, Madurai.
