Ahmed Nawaz Mohammed: A Journey in Education Leadership: Nurturing Minds Across Borders

Education is a transformative force that knows no boundaries. It is a beacon that guides individuals toward enlightenment and empowers communities. One individual who has played a pivotal role in shaping educational landscapes is the dynamic educationist who has served in various leadership roles across different institutions – the Principal at Akshara International School, Tamilnadu, India, since December 2019.

Ahmed Nawaz Mohammed is a highly accomplished individual with a profound academic background. He holds a Master of Literature degree coupled with a Bachelor of Education, reflecting his dedication to both literary studies and educational pursuits. Currently, on a dynamic academic journey, Ahmed is passionately pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge in his field. His academic endeavors exemplify a synthesis of literary excellence and pedagogical expertise, positioning him as a promising scholar in the realm of education and literature.

His journey began in the Maldives, where he embarked on a journey in education leadership. From August 2006 to December 2007, he served as an ESL faculty member at the Ministry of Education in Male. This initial experience laid the foundation for a career dedicated to fostering effective language education, a crucial aspect in a world that is becoming increasingly interconnected. 

In January 2008, he took on the role of Head of the Department for ESL at the Ministry of Education in Male, Maldives. This marked a transition from teaching to a leadership position, where the focus shifted from individual classrooms to the broader spectrum of curriculum development and educational strategies. The dedication and passion displayed during this period were recognized, leading to further advancements in the years to come.

The commitment to educational leadership continued to shine as the individual assumed the position of Deputy Principal at the Ministry of Education in Male from January 2009 to December 2011. This role not only involved administrative responsibilities but also a deeper involvement in shaping educational policies and frameworks.

The pinnacle of the Maldivian chapter came with the role of Principal at the Ministry of Education in Male, Maldives, from January 2012 to September 2019. This period marked a significant contribution to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Advanced Level curriculum. The impact of these years extended beyond the confines of classrooms, influencing the educational trajectory of countless students.

 

In December 2019, he embarked on a new chapter, taking on the role of Principal at Akshara International School in Tamilnadu, India. The transition from the Maldives to India brought with it a broader cultural landscape and diverse educational challenges. However, the adaptability and expertise gained over the years equipped the principal to navigate these challenges effectively
