A Legacy of Excellence: Professor V. Krishna Mohan’s Pioneering Journey in Academia and Administration

Professor V. Krishna Mohan, currently serving as Officer-On-Special Duty (OSD) since October 2023, boasts a distinguished career spanning over 37 years in academia, with expertise in Marketing Management. Prior to his current role, he held the position of Registrar at Andhra University from 2019 to 2023, where he also serves as a Professor of Marketing Management in the Department of Commerce & Management Studies.

He is an alumnus of Andhra University, having earned Master’s degrees in both Commerce (M.Com) and Business Administration (MBA), as well as a PhD in Marketing Management. His academic achievements include completing the Faculty Development Program in Management (FDPM) at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) in 1989-90. He has been a recipient of the National Merit Scholarship and holds a B-Certificate and C-Certificate from the NCC Air-wing.

With a rich teaching experience, he has authored 16 books and contributed extensively to the MBA Distance Education Course material at Andhra University. His research prowess is evident through the publication of 98 research papers in various professional journals, including those indexed in UGC Care and Scopus. He has guided 62 research students towards the completion of their Ph.D. and M.Phil. degrees.

Prof. Mohan’s contributions extend beyond academia, as evidenced by his organization of numerous national-level seminars, workshops, and training programs. He has been honored with Best Research Paper awards at both national and international levels and has served as a resource person at various academic institutions, including Academic Staff Colleges, HRD Centers, and B-Schools.

As a member of multiple Boards of Studies in Commerce and Management faculties across public and private universities, he has played a pivotal role in curriculum development and academic governance. He has been instrumental in establishing innovative programs such as MBA (Retail Management) and the Integrated BBA-MBA (5-Years) Program at Andhra University School of International Business (AUSIB).

His commitment to continuous learning is evident through his participation in various leadership and academic development programs, both nationally and internationally. He is a member of several professional bodies in the fields of Commerce and Management and has received numerous awards for his outstanding contributions to teaching, research, and administrative leadership.

Among his accolades, he has been honored with the State Best Teacher Award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2011 and the Best Researcher Award from the Governor of AP in 2019. He was also recognized as the Best National Level Distinguished Registrar of the Year in 2022 and received the Ugadi Puraskar Award in 2021 for his dedicated service to the student community.
