Dr. Indra Kumari Aggarwal, affectionately known as IS Mam, is a luminary in the field of physics education, particularly renowned for her tenure at Hans Raj College. With a welcoming demeanor and a knack for simplifying complex concepts, she’s endeared herself to generations of students. Her journey began in the historic town of Raikot, Punjab, known for its association with Raja Ranjeet Singh. Excelling academically, she earned distinction in her matriculation and pursued her BSc at DM College, Moga, where she was honored with a prestigious gold medal for her academic achievements.

Furthering her academic pursuits, Dr. Indra Kumari Aggarwal completed her MSc in Physics from Punjab University, Chandigarh. It was during this time that her passion for nuclear physics was ignited, leading her to join the esteemed Delhi University as a PhD student under the tutelage of the renowned nuclear physicist, Prof AN Mitra. This marked the beginning of her illustrious journey in academia.

Dr. Indra Kumari Aggarwal’s teaching career commenced with her role as a faculty member at Hindi College, where she shared her expertise in physics with undergraduate students. Later, she transitioned to Hans Raj College, a prestigious institution within Delhi University, where she continued to shape young minds with her profound knowledge and engaging teaching style.
